Website speed check on mobile: what your score means

Google PageSpeed loads your home page on a simulated mid-range phone with a mobile connection and gives a score from 0 to 100. We divide it by 10.

What the colours mean

  • OK. Score 80–100: the page loads quickly on a phone.
  • Needs attention. Score 50–79: visitors wait noticeably before they can read or tap anything.
  • Problem. Score under 50: the page is slow on phones. Many visitors leave before it finishes loading.

Why it matters for your business

  • Most visitors come from phones.
  • Google uses page experience on mobile when ranking pages.
  • Every extra second of loading loses visitors and enquiries.

What you can do yourself

  • Compress images and convert them to WebP or AVIF.
  • Remove sliders, chat widgets and scripts you do not need.
  • Enable caching at your hosting.

Google measures on a mid-range phone with mobile data — and that is what most of your visitors actually see.

Is speed worth paying for?

Every extra second of loading loses visitors. Many fixes, such as compressing images, are quick and cheap.
