Website Checker / Trust signals
Trust signals: does your website show a real company?
Whether the site has About and Contacts pages, a phone number or email, a physical address, a privacy policy, company details for Google (Organization or LocalBusiness markup) and social media links. We look at the home page and up to 9 other pages.
What the colours mean
- OK. It is clear who is behind the site and how to contact them.
- Needs attention. Several signals are missing — for example an address, contacts or a privacy policy.
- Problem. It is unclear who is behind the site: most signals are missing.
Why it matters for your business
- People do not send enquiries or pay a site without a visible real company behind it.
- Without a privacy policy, a contact form breaks GDPR rules.
- Google and AI assistants more often recommend sites that clearly state the company name, address and contacts.
What you can do yourself
- Add an About page: who you are, how long you have worked, who is on the team.
- Put your phone, email and address in the footer of every page.
- Publish a privacy policy and add Organization or LocalBusiness markup.

Common doubts
Does Google really look at the About page?
Google’s quality rater guidelines say plainly that it matters who is behind a site and how to contact them. People care even more: without an address and phone, a site looks like a one-day shop.
What is E-E-A-T and why don’t you score it?
Google’s quality principles: experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust. They cannot be measured automatically, so we do not invent an “E-E-A-T score” — we check visible trust signals instead.
