Website Checker / Google search
Google search check: can Google find and index your website?
Google's automated SEO audit of the home page, plus whether the site can be indexed, has robots.txt and sitemap.xml, and a meta description.
What the colours mean
- OK. Search engines can find and index the site, and the basics are in place.
- Needs attention. Some basics are missing — for example, a sitemap or a page description.
- Problem. The site is hidden from search engines (noindex or blocked in robots.txt) or Google's SEO score is low.
Why it matters for your business
- A site that is not indexed simply does not exist in Google.
- Without a description, Google writes your snippet for you — often badly.
- AI assistants increasingly answer customer questions; sites that are hard for them to read are left out.
What you can do yourself
- Make sure the home page has no «noindex».
- Publish /sitemap.xml and add it to Google Search Console.
- Write a clear 120–160 character page description.
What OLBO can do
AI search visibility audit (AEO) — from €590: how Google and AI assistants see your site, and what to change.
Common doubts
What is llms.txt?
A short text file at /llms.txt that tells AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude what your site is about and where the key pages are. It is a new, optional standard.
We have good Google rankings — why bother?
More people now ask AI assistants instead of searching. Being easy to read for them is the next step after classic SEO.
